Toronto Cloud Computing Conference tackles issue of business readiness
The upcoming Cloud Computing an IT Paradigm Shift is a conference that will feature interactive sessions targeted at addressing issues like whether cloud computing is actually ready for prime time?
The Nov. 12 event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is produced by Plum Communications and IT World Canada.
Cloud computing, or the concept of IT-related capabilities provided as a service, has reached that point where enterprises and SMBs are seriously considering it. However, migrating to the technology can be costly, time-consuming and risky, therefore this conference sets out to provide the knowledge needed to help businesses make the decision as to whether to migrate or not.
The conference will offer a knowledge-based seminar agenda with peer-to-peer discussions between users and industry experts. Other topics will include Assessment of PaaS (Platform as a Service) and Infrastructure models; The Challenge of Scale; Migration Risks and Rewards; Security and more.
The conference will wrap up with CloudCamp, an open space style, two-hour event to provide a common ground for the introduction and advancement of cloud computing. The first in Canada, CloudCamp was conceived by Reuven Cohen, co-founder and chief technologist with Enomaly Inc.
