Exalead Names David Bortolin as U.S. Vice President of Sales
Exalead, a global leader of information access software for business and the web, today announced the appointment of Dave Bortolin as vice president of sales for the U.S.
San Francisco, CA – February 10, 2009
"Exalead has demonstrated strong sales both globally and in the U.S. - this is a testament to the widespread appeal of and need for their innovative and adaptable technology," said Bortolin. "As the enterprise content cloud becomes increasingly complex, customers are looking to go beyond pure search. They need comprehensive and easy-to-implement information management solutions that locate hidden links between and provide structure around disparate data sources. I’m looking forward to working with Exalead to continue to address the search needs of customers in the United States."
Most recently, Bortolin was vice president of sales for Remedy Interactive, a risk prevention and worker’s compensation management software firm, where he was responsible for building out sales teams and securing major contracts with Fortune 500 companies, such as Disney, HP, and Microsoft. Previously, he served as vice president of sales for BlueRoads Corporation, where he solidified relationships with IBM and Oracle, and the strategy consulting firm Milestone Group, where he worked with Xcalia, a Paris-based software company, on expansion into the U.S. market.
"With 2008’s record sales growth and more that 50 new customers, Exalead is prepared to continue to expand our presence in the U.S.," said Paul Doscher, CEO of Exalead U.S. "We are fortunate to have Dave join our team and look forward to leveraging his expertise in building and maintaining strong customer relationships as we continue to work to meet the needs of our customers."
