Automated Business Process Discovery Goes Mainstream with QPR’s Solution for Salesforce.com

QPR Software today launched its Automated Business Process Discovery solution for Salesforce.com, the customer relationship management system used by 100 000 organizations worldwide. Using data logged by Salesforce.com, QPR ProcessAnalyzer gives an objective view into sales by visualizing the actual sales process. The solution provides up-to-date information about typical sales paths and displays process performance metrics. With increased insight, companies are able to manage their sales processes better and increase sales.

“Companies put a lot of effort into coaching and managing their sales force, but up until now there has been few ways to directly and objectively assess the sales process. With QPR ProcessAnalyzer for Salesforce.com, companies have for the first time complete insight into their sales efforts”, says Mr. Sami Tähtinen, Vice President of Products and Technology at QPR Software.

By ‘reverse-engineering’ data logged by Salesforce.com, QPR ProcessAnalyzer is able to re-create the sales processes the way they unfolded in reality. The analysis includes paths, process flowcharts and process variations. They come spiced with durations, transition times and other process performance metrics. Results are easily compared and benchmarked using background variables such as sales team, product, point in time, and customer. With this information, companies are able to factually answer such fundamental sales management questions as:

  • In which stages of the sales process do we face challenges?
  • What cause & effect chains typically exist for lost & won deals?
  • What are the real durations between different stages of the sales process?
  • What are the real closing probabilities for different opportunities in different stages?

QPR ProcessAnalyzer turns data into knowledge with practical and tangible benefits. For example, revising the arbitrary sales step closing probabilities in Salesforce.com with actual performance data brings increased accuracy to pipeline reports and forecasts.

Automated Business Process Discovery was recently noted by Gartner Inc. as a technology that would reach mainstream penetration within 5 to 10 years.

“What we have in our hands is the first true mainstream application of Automated Business Process Discovery. Revolutionary is that the commonly most work-intensive and difficult step, getting and validating usable data, has been completely automated. It literally only takes a couple of clicks to run the analysis. This means time can be spent on productive analysis work”, says Tähtinen.

Being a cloud-based solution, QPR ProcessAnalyzer is easy to deploy within Salesforce.com and requires no coding. QPR ProcessAnalyzer can be used directly through the Salesforce.com user interface allowing business users a quick access to reports. The solution also provides an in-depth analysis environment aimed at business analysts.

To coincide with the solution launch, QPR published a White Paper titled ‘Automated Business Process Discovery for Salesforce.com’ that is available for download for free on QPR’s website at: http://bit.ly/yj5HAQ
